Smiles and Frowns Playhouse


Smiles and Frowns is a non-profit children's theater. Founded in 1986, its mission is to give school age children the opportunity to learn about and participate in, all aspects of theater in which they have an interest. Two shows are produced per year: one in the fall and one in the spring.

Art Classes and Workshops


The Arts and Recreation Commission offers a variety of workshops specifically for arts including:

Adult Art Classes
Adult Ceramics: Wednesday 6pm to 8pm. The class is a 6 week session.  The cost is $15 for Ayden Residents and $25 for non-Ayden residents and the cost of materials.  The class is taught by Robin Whitten.

Painting: Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm.  The class is a 6 week session.  The cost is $15 for Ayden Residents and $25 for non-Ayden residents and the cost of materials.  The class is taught by Robin Whitten.
