 Code Enforcement

The Town of Ayden Code Enforcement Officer is Jim Mallow.  His office is located on East Avenue at the Operations Center and his hours are 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Jim is responsible for code enforcement and minimum housing inspections.  His office can also provide information on the permitting procedures for all Permitting that is offered by Pitt County.

The Town of Ayden is actively tagging abandoned and junked vehicles, over grown and junked lots, and dilapidated houses in the city limits.  The appropriate City Ordinances fall in Chapter 90, Chapter 91, Chapter 94, and Chapter 95.  This information can be obtained from the Code Enforcement Office at (252) 746-7033.

 Permitting

All permits and inspections, except MINIMUM HOUSING, are performed by the Pitt County Inspections Department (252) 902-3190.  To schedule a minimum housing inspection, call (252) 746-7032.
