Town of Ayden Meter Readers
Go High Tech
Over the
past several years, the Town of Ayden and its electric
service area have grown by hundreds of people. The Town
has only had two meter readers during this time. The
reason for this efficiency is the switch from standard
manual read meters to radio read meters. The Town has
currently installed 3,711 electric radio read meters
over the past three years, spending $235,000 to
implement the meters. This year the Town will complete
the process with the installation of 250 commercial
meters.
