Community Foundation, Inc. |
| |
| |
|
Community Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation
that manages two funds that impact student-athletes at
Ayden-Grifton High School. |
| |
| |
|
Stuart
Tripp Scholarship Fund |
| |
|
Beginning in 2005, the Stuart Tripp Scholarship Fund,
named in honor of former Ayden High School basketball
coach and Hall of Famer, will bequeath a perpetual
scholarship to a student-athlete or multiple student
athletes, depending on the earning of the fund, at
Ayden-Grifton High School. The scholarship is gender
neutral and goes to a student-athlete who meets certain
criteria set forth by the Board of Directors in concert
with the school's counseling staff. There is an
application process and the Board reviews the applicants
and makes the final decision. The scholarship is paid
only if proof of enrollment is supplied and will be paid
directly to the attending community college, college, or
university. |

The
Ayden-Grifton Letter Jacket Fund |
| |
|
Several
years ago, the Ayden-Grifton Charger Club, Inc. began
the Letter Jacket Program. Community Foundation, Inc.
subsidizes the Charger Club's efforts until the fund is
sufficient enough for its earnings to furnish all letter
jackets that are purchased each year.
The
Letter Jacket Program, the only known such program in a
high school in North Carolina and possibly in the
Country, purchases quality letter jackets for athletes
in their junior year who earn letters in their
respective sports.
The
program builds pride and integrity among
student-athletes at Ayden-Grifton High School. |

Ways To
Give |
| |
|
There
are three ways you may contribute to either or both of
the funds that the Community Foundation, Inc. manages.
Make your choice today and give as generously as you
can. |
| |
|
~Memorials~ |
| |
|
Establish a "living" memorial to a deceased member of
the family or friend. The amount given will be invested
in the selected fund or funds and will earn interest in
perpetuity. Thus, through the use of the earning from
these funds, even the deceased can continue to
contribute to worthwhile causes. |
| |
|
~Tributes~ |
| |
|
Tributes may be made to friends or acquaintances in
recognition of accomplishments or in honor of special
occasions, such as honoring a "Citizen of the Year."
|
| |
|
~Bequests~ |
| |
|
Stocks,
bonds, trusts, and estates are acceptable, as is cash to
Community Foundation, Inc. Talk to your attorney about
bequests to Community Foundation Inc. in your will. |
