The Town's Sanitation Department administers the residential solid waste and recycling program.  Each household within the city limits receives a 90-gallon rollout container and a rolling recycling cart.  New residents with questions about solid waste regulations may stop by the Customer Service Department at Town Hall or call (252) 481-5823. The Town maintains three garbage collection routes, Monday through Wednesday, and a recycling route on Thursdays.  Yard waste and bulky trash items are collected weekly (not specific to a particular day of the week).  Please see the map below to determine which day of the week your trash will be picked up.
