About Ayden

Located in southern Pitt County, the Town of Ayden is a growing community of 5,000 residents and is considered one of eastern North Carolina's most strategically located communities for development; residential, commercial, and industrial. Since its incorporation in 1891, town officials have worked over the years to see the community become a place for families to reside and for businesses to grow. The town is located 10 miles south of Greenville. Ayden's close proximity to Greenville allows the community to take advantage of offerings provided by East Carolina University (a leading University in the State), Pitt Community College (one of the fastest growing Community Colleges in the State), and Vidant Medical Center (a pioneer in medical research and advancement in the Country).
