Please allow me to be the first to welcome you to Ayden's new website. The Ayden Governing Board is very excited to have you visit our Town via the world wide web. There are some exciting things happening in Ayden and I would like to tell you about a few of them.
You may not know this, but the Ayden community schools are some of the best in the County. Ayden Elementary School has some wonderful teachers that care about the students and with the addition of the new 5th grade wing and multipurpose room, the school provides an excellent learning environment. Ayden Middle School has a rich tradition in providing exceptional training and preparation for the high school level. Known for its friendly and well qualified staff, the middle school is a great place for children to learn. Finally, Ayden-Grifton High School is exactly where you want your children to be as they complete their secondary education. With great leadership and faculty, the high school has excelled to be known as one of the best high schools in the County. With some of the highest test scores and learning results on record, Ayden-Grifton High School prepares a child for whatever the real world brings after high school. The Town of Ayden is beginning to experience some unparalleled growth never before seen in the community. Within the last two years, over 800 new homes have been approved for development. Commercial expansion opportunities are also on the horizon and within the next several years, it is expected that the Town of Ayden will develop into one of Pitt County’s largest communities. I am very excited to inform you about the Ayden community. I encourage you to visit in person, stop in and meet the Town Manager and his staff; they are here to work with you. Also, please attend a Board of Commissioners meeting to learn how the Ayden community is governed. The board meets at 7:00pm the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at the Town Hall, unless otherwise posted. Please do not hesitate to contact the Town Manager’s office if you have any questions or concerns. |
