Town Services/Operating Hours and Procedures

  • Town offices and buildings will be open to the public beginning June 1st, however, during Phase 2, the Town encourages the public to make appointments for meetings with staff and face masks be worn for those face-to-face meetings. Social distancing will be practiced in Town Offices and buildings.

  • Services such as trash and recycling will continue to run on regular schedules, however service levels and times are subject to change.

  • Utilities, planning and permitting requests/services should be made by phone or email. Visit us at or call 252-481-5817 for assistance. 

Payment of utility bills can be made using one of the following methods

The Town of Ayden will not disconnect services due to non-payment and late fees will be waived by Governor Cooper’s Executive Order No. 142  through August 1st. Customers are reminded that they will be responsible for the payment of bills owed.  Balances owed on bills CANNOT, legally, be waived by the Town.  All past due balances at the expiration of the executive order will automatically be enrolled into a six month equal payment plan, unless customer pays the balance off in full, or calls the town to make different arrangements.
