The Ayden Planning Department is responsible for administering land use regulations throughout the town’s planning and development regulation jurisdiction. Planning staff are available to answer zoning questions related to use regulations, land development, and future land use planning. Main Street

Downtown Ayden, Inc. is a Main Street America affiliate program that works to revitalize downtown Ayden by preserving historic buildings and investing in what is unique to Ayden. They meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month and are led by the board of directors. As a quasi-nonprofit, Downtown Ayden, Inc. organizes the “Kings of Q” BBQ Festival and Cookoff each year. As Ayden continues to grow, we look forward to welcoming new members and bringing even bigger things to the downtown. Check out our website at downtownayden.org.
